Engine repair procedures - 1.6 and 1.8 litre 8 valve / Pistons and connecting rods - refitting

Proceed as described in Section 30, Part A of this Chapter, paragraphs 2 to 7 inclusive.

When refitting the big-end nuts, oil the threads.

On completion, check the endfloat of each connecting rod in a similar manner to that described for checking the crankshaft endfloat.
